Commissions

Commissions

I offer photography commissions, both here in Pembrokeshire and away. I can provide you with a single image for a specific gift or a series of images, or can produce work linked to words I’ve written for a magazine article.

I love visiting working artists. I like to be there long enough to melt into the background, so you forget I’m there and enter your own world. If I can interview you before or afterwards, that is even better. John Knapp-Fisher, one of Pembrokeshire’s best-known artists, was a wonderful experience in this way. He was very open and, having spent his whole life communicating both verbally and through his art, being with him was an absolute pleasure.

Here’s a tiny selection of works from the types of commissions I undertake.

Portraits

I like to shoot some of the portraits in situ, so people are relaxed and following their daily patterns.

Images for other people’s websites

These are from Spring Meadow Farm and Trehale Farm, Pembrokeshire.

Groups

Top images: St David’s Day celebration and blessing, 2012. Lower images: workshops at Oriel y Parc, also 2012.

Still life

For cards and calendars etc. These three were part of a John Lewis session.

Events

Left to right: the Pembrokeshire Weather Report Concert, St Davids Cathedral; Nik Turner and Raul Speek playing as part of the benefit concert for Theatre 4U at Fishguard; and exhibition opening night at the Cloisters Gallery, St Davids Cathedral.

I undertake the very occasional wedding, although I normally suggest people go to www.castlephotography.co.uk, who provide an amazing service. I work in a reportage style and provide a disc for you to print from or load on to your social media pages.

Art and art exhibitions and demonstrations

Raul painting a 100-metre canvas at a youth festival; Adam Buick’s kiln opening; and Iwan Bala at the opening of his exhibition at the National Botanic Garden.
